The Antagonist #3

1/12/2009
Picture
After making me one of six poets featured in their November issue, Cardiff-based magazine The Antagonist have been kind enough to publish my work once again. The piece of flash fiction, entitled 'The Return', was written in early 2008 and I am very pleased for it to have finally found a home in the literary section of the magazine's December outing.

This month's issue is available from antagonistinternational.com in PDF format for only £1.50, so get yourself a copy and support a great independent magazine in the process.

A few of The Antagonist’s contributors, or 'minions', are reading at the Square Issue 6 launch this Sunday (6th December) at the North Star, North Road, Cardiff. The launch of this special Women's Issue promises to be a great night, bringing together some of the best of the Swansea and Cardiff poetry scenes, and I will be in attendance if I can shake off this bout of severe man-flu that has kept me in bed for most of the past week.

Scheduled to read at the launch, amongst others, are a good few of Swansea’s The Crunch open-mic night favourites, including:

Gemma June Howell
Susie Wild
Simone Mansell Broome
Emily Vanderploeg
d.e. Oprava
Jess Ramthun
Emma Williams

The North Star are very kindly providing some food and drink to early arrivals, so go along and support what I see as being a wonderful coming together of three great artistic outlets I have been involved with at some point during the last twelve months: Square, The Antagonist and The Crunch.

I hope (hope, hope, hope) to see you there. Best pour myself another Lemsip...
