Blue Tattoo #6
15/10/2008
Blue Tattoo is a Welsh Books Council-funded magazine edited by Dafydd Prys, the associate editor of Planet. I have a short story, 'Block', featured in Issue 6, which is available now. From academi.org: "Blue Tattoo, a quarterly magazine, [features] both established talent and new voices of Welsh fiction. Inside [is] a range of short story styles, from the traditional and modern to prose and graphic novel style stories as well as a contemporary review section." You can order Blue Tattoo directly from Dafydd Prys via the contact details here, or pick a copy up from selected book shops across Wales. Issue 5 was available in Swansea’s Borders store (located in Fforestfach), but at the moment they are yet to receive any copies of Issue 6.

Square #3
12/10/2008
Last night saw the launch of the third issue of Square magazine at Cardiff’s A Shot In The Dark café, with guest reading from Alun Rees, Stuart Thomas, Jim Bartlett, Jackie Jones and myself. It was a great night, with some excellent poetry on offer from my fellow readers and the one poet who braved the open mic that followed us. Two of my poems, 'Streak' and 'Seated Female Nude, c. 1916', are featured in this issue of the magazine, which you can buy here or at one of the locations in Cardiff listed below:
Square is also available from selected shops around Wales via The Welsh Books Council (including Borders in Swansea, where I picked up my first copy of the magazine). |
