HAIKU

abandoned churchyard –
cairns of broken headstones
shaded by alder leaves
clinging to my wing mirror,
the spider
and her now-mobile home
Morriston Cross – the parting of ways
where I should have kissed her
urban autumn –
coloured leaves caught
in take-away cartons
sharing a grave;
two strangers
        (her husbands)
        waiting for her
smothered in cream,
she does not see the plum I gave her
was bruised
that lone ship on the horizon,
arriving or leaving?
